Mutual Control Solution of Digital Reporting Hall

This project includes two meeting halls, of which the main meeting hall is 15 meters long, 10 meters wide and 4 meters high, and the other conference room is 12 meters long, 9 meters wide and 3.5 meters high. A total of 78 seats (including 8 chairmen) were needed in the main meeting room, and 22 seats were needed in the sub-meeting room.

1. Project Objectives

The aim is to design and build a modern intelligent conference room, establish an efficient and practical electronic conference environment, realize the intercommunication and sharing of audio and video signals between the two conference rooms, and support the mutual control of equipment in the main conference room and the sub-conference room, so as to realize the unified management and information sharing function of each conference room.

3.1 Display System

In the main venue, we offered a 150-inch high-definition projection screen as the main display screen, a 5,000-lumen high-brightness laser projector, and four 70-inch LCD TVs to facilitate the auxiliary display of the rostrum and the conference center and rear of the lecture hall. We designed a 55-inch HD splicing screen with a 3.5mm seam for the main display of the conference room, and two 70-inch LCD TVs for the auxiliary display of the conference room.

3.2 Mutual control system

Along with the development of the era, high-definition video technology is rapidly improved, modern multimedia meeting equipment is given priority to digital high-definition signals and complementary analog signals. On this situation, we respectively offered the main venue and the sub-venue Xunkong seamless mixed matrix switcher D3002 and HD-PRO (with control card), which can not only transmit high-definition digital audio and video signals, but also be compatible with the original analog signal. Thus, the conference in the venue can be featured with seamless switching function with no black screen, no blue screen, no shaking, no cracks and bring participants high-definition and comfortable visual enjoyment.

According to the requirements of signal intercommunication and mutual control between the main venue and the sub-venue, we have equipped a multi-functional two-way HD transmitter, which adopts fiber optics technology and combines seamless matrix switcher to realize the sharing and interworking and mutual control of audio and video signals in the venue of both parties.

3.3 Sound amplification systems

The sound amplification system for the main conference hall and sub-venue are designed with the national standard of sound amplification hall Level 1.

The total area of the main conference hall is 150 square meters. We designed two 12-inch full frequency speakers (E-12L) as the main sound amplification box, installed on both sides of the podium and four 10-inch full frequency speakers (E-10L) as the auxiliary sound amplification at the center and rear of the lecture hall, so as to obtain higher overall sound pressure level. In addition, two 12-inch audio feedback and stage speakers (F-12) are arranged on both sides of the podium to achieve a good overall sound amplification effect.

The conference room is a rectangular type, covering an area of 108 square meters. Four 8-inch full-frequency speakers (E-8L) are designed on both sides of the conference room for the overall sound expansion to meet the design requirements of the system sound pressure level.

According to the analysis and measurement of sound field of the EASE major, the maximum sound pressure level of the sound amplification system for the main venue is 108dB, and the sound pressure level covered uniformly is stable at 104dB—106dB, which meets the requirements of our design and leaves a margin for the system. 

Meanwhile, the maximum sound pressure level of the sound amplification system for sub-venue is 107dB, and the sound pressure level covered uniformly is stable at 105dB—106dB, which meets the requirements as well. 

3.4 Digital Conference Speech system

It is particularly important for the speech system to work with a set of high performance, high quality and leading technology and cost-effective equipment. Thus, we introduced a set of timing microphones SV-MT318B as the speech unit for the main venue with today's industry leading technology, featured high brightness with OLED display screen, energy conservation and environmental protection. Besides, this devic also has timing and countdown function for the convenience of the participants to master the meeting time,which is quite eficient and effective for command center.

Conference speech system for the sub-venue is equipped with the SV-MT618B microphones, which supports check-in and vote function as well as the function of automatic tracking with the HD camera, which can make sure that the speaker in the meeting will be tracked in real-time with the camera automatically, convenient for remote video conference between the two venues.

3.5. Central Control System

It is convenient for the main venue and sub-venue administrative staffs to easily manage and control all kinds of equipment and signals through wireless touch screen, including lighting, volume, air conditioning, large screen image display, DVD, background computer video play, PPT operation and other functions of control and adjustment. For this project, we recommended the AV-PRO-Ⅲ and HD-PRO as the host of the control system,which can be extended to connect power controller (SV-SP12S), dimmers (SV-220-4A), wireless receiver (D1009), seamless matrix switcher (D3002), and other peripheral control equipment. Besides, it can also upgrade network remote control, extended matching sensor modules with safety signals, environmental sensing linkage control, etc. convenient to upgrade and extend functions used in the future.
